The Times of Malta is Malta’s top media house. Founded in 1935, by Lord and Lady Strickland and Lord Strickland’s daughter Mabel, it is the oldest daily newspaper still in circulation in Malta. It has the widest circulation and is seen as the daily newspaper of “reference” of the Maltese press.

The newspaper and its popular website are known to be the most influential media sources in Malta. It is an independent media organisation owned by the Strickland Foundation.

The popular Sunday edition also puts strong emphasis on the social and cultural arena in Malta. Locally, is by far the most accessed website in Malta overall.

The concept of setting up Business Leaders Malta was developed by training and development consultancy Mdina International, event management company Jugs Malta, and recruitment specialist KONNEKT.

Today, Business Leaders Malta is a fully-fledged company with distinct brands, which specialises in business consultancy, market research, conference management and delivering accredited programmes.

BLM is synonymous with the organisation of their out-of-the-ordinary annual business conference, which sets the benchmark for similar events on the Island due to its trademark vibrancy and an unwavering commitment to inspire entrepreneurial and operational minds.

In 2012, the BLM brand evolved with the introduction of the BLM Employee Research, which is a research study focusing on employee and employer dynamics. Participants of the BLM Employee Research are eligible for the BLM Awards that are presented annually to the top scoring firms.

The Academy of Business Leaders is another piece of the BLM product puzzle. Our first programme was launched in late 2013, after organizing 24 Insight workshops on various business topics. The Academy of Business Leaders is licensed as a Further/Higher Education Institution with the National Commission for Further and Higher Education in Malta, and is an accredited centre of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM). More than 150 individuals have successfully completed accredited courses since the Academy’s inception.

The market research arm of Business Leaders Malta, Esprimi, was launched in 2014. Esprimi is an innovative market research company specialising in online surveys as well as traditional research methods, and runs its own online research community, Esprimi Community.
